Brain Child

My latest drawing. Click image for a larger view.

You lurk behind closed eyes, a vibrant force of creativity. Come forth and roam free, my brain child,

Don’t let my boundaries become your prison.

Revel in the vast space of your unrestricted playground.

Slide leisurely through my synapses, igniting the passion that fuels my spirit.

Run wild with the colorful ribbon that threads my imagination.

Don’t worry about the harsh realities you see beyond your windows.

I will keep you safely tucked away, nestled in the warm blanket of my fortitude.

I will fight for your survival, even if it means enduring scars of ridicule and doubt.

Someday, you’ll have to venture out into the unknown world,

but I’ll do everything in my power to ensure that you’ll be ready for the transition.

Until then, just play, just grow, just be…
